Accommodation and food

Due to Covid protocols, we have removed Shared Accommodation options and all accommodation is private. If you are coming with a partner or person in your bubble and would like to share a room, please sign up and let us know and we will issue a refund for shared accommodation.

Meals are lovingly prepared and nutritionally balanced. Most dietary accommodations can be made.

Payment Options

The cost of each of the three retreat sessions is $2450 USD, or $7350 USD for the year. This includes the 5-day immersions (with 5 nights private accommodation and all meals), weekly video calls for the year of the training, a facilitators’ manual, online resources to support you through the training and a key teaching aid.  It will also include fun, because it’s in the spirit of play that we most fully engage and learn.

The year of training should be paid in full prior to the start of session two. By signing up for the training you are expressing a commitment to complete the full year. Payment can be made in 3, 6 or 9 instalments.

Click here to proceed to payment options page.

Please note, participants are expected to stay at the retreat centre. There's a certain magic that happens when we spend 5 days together: opportunities for casual or deep conversations, shared walks or swims etc. If for some reason you're not able to stay at the retreat centre and have made other arrangements with us, there will be a fee to cover your portion of the workshop space cost.

*Transportation to the venue is not included but we will do our best to facilitate car-pooling.

Required readings

Before Session 1
Original Wisdom: Stories of an Ancient Way of Knowing by Robert Wolff
Wolff takes us with him as he discovers the Sng’oi, an aboriginal culture in Malaysia – and as he discovers them, we discover ourselves, and see what we have lost, and what I strive in my work to regain. A beautiful, moving, illuminating little book.

Before Session 2
TEPP Facilitator's Manual - which you'll receive at the conclusion of the first session

Before Session 3
Radical Wholeness

What to prepare

As in the weekend workshop, some of the exercises require that you know a short text by heart. Rest assured, this is not something you will ever be asked to perform – it’s just needed for some of the exercises. You can use one you are familiar with, or find a new one. It can be anything at all – a song lyric, a Shakespearean monologue, the national anthem, a poem, anything. It really doesn't matter, although it does help if it’s something you enjoy. Whatever you choose to memorize, it should be at least 45 seconds long, though any length in excess of that is fine. Having it WELL memorized is important.

What to bring

You might wish to bring a reusable water bottle or travel coffee mug. Please bring clothes that are comfortable to move in. You might also wish to bring a notebook, hiking shoes, some extra layers.

Communicating

You can email the whole group by sending a message to nc@embodiedpresent.com. Communicating between sessions is so helpful to supporting each other’s learning and deepening the connection of the group. Once we’ve had our first session, this will be a key tool, so please add nc@embodiedpresent.com as well as hello@embodiedpresent.com to your address books to help ensure you don’t miss any messages!

Getting there is half the fun

We’ve created a shared document called "The Hero’s Journey" on Google Drive. Please fill in your arrival and contact details and whether you need or can offer a ride. A few people are coming from far away and would appreciate offers of help in this way.
