Retreat Centre Special Info
The only pre-requisite for the Facilitator Training is to have taken a Radical Wholeness workshop prior to the start of the training. If you're joining the TEPP EU training that is underway you must also take the Deep Dive Retreat at the end of April 2022.
The training runs over three five-day sessions, spaced out over one year, with weekly Zoom calls in between.
The in-person training dates are:
Session One November 30 – December 5, 2021
Deep Dive for new participants April 26 - May 1, 2022
Session Two May 31 – June 5, 2022
Session Three November 29 – December 4, 2022
On the first day we'll gather in the late afternoon, have a meal together and an evening session. On the last day we will finish with a morning session and lunch.
Check-in after 4pm, Dinner 6:30, Training: 7:30 – 9 pm
Wednesday - Saturday
Training: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Training 9:30 am – 12:30, Lunch, Check-out after lunch

Accommodation and food
Due to Covid protocols, we have removed Shared Accommodation options and all accommodation is private. If you are coming with a partner or person in your bubble and would like to share a room, please sign up and let us know and we will issue a refund for shared accommodation.
The food is all vegetarian and vegan, gluten-free and other dietary accommodations can be made.
The cost of each of the three retreat sessions is $2292 US ($6876 USD for the year). This includes the 5-day immersion (with 5 nights private accommodation and all meals), weekly video calls for the year of the training, a facilitators’ manual, online resources to support you through the training and a key teaching aid. It will also include fun, because it’s in the spirit of play that we most fully engage and learn.
The year of training should be paid in full prior to the start of session two. By signing up for the training you are expressing a commitment to complete the full year. Payment can be made in 1, 3, or 6 instalments. (We've retired the 9 instalment option as payment should be complete before the start of session 2. But speak to us if you would like to work out another option.)
Click here to proceed to payment options page.
*For those joining the training via the Deep Dive, the price for the full year training is the same as for those who began in Nov. The reason for that is that New Eden increased the retreat centre costs starting in the New Year, which affects our Deep Dive session; but on the other hand, new participants will miss Zoom calls in December and early January. The increased accommodation costs are offset by the savings from the missed Zoom calls.
*Transportation to the venue is not included but we will do our best to facilitate car-pooling.
Before Session 1
Original Wisdom: Stories of an Ancient Way of Knowing by Robert Wolff
Wolff takes us with him as he discovers the Sng’oi, an aboriginal culture in Malaysia – and as he discovers them, we discover ourselves, and see what we have lost, and what I strive in my work to regain. A beautiful, moving, illuminating little book.
Before Session 2
TEPP Facilitator's Manual - which you'll receive at the conclusion of the first session
Before Session 3
What to prepare
As in the Radical Wholeness workshop, some of the exercises require that you know a short text by heart. Rest assured, this is not something you will ever be asked to perform – it’s just needed for some of the exercises. You can use one you are familiar with, or find a new one. It can be anything at all – a nursery rhyme, a song lyric, a Shakespearean monologue, the national anthem, a poem, anything. It really doesn’t matter, although it does help if it’s something you enjoy. It can get pretty tedious saying, “Row, row, row your boat” over and over. Just saying…
Whatever you choose to memorize, it should be at least 45 seconds long, though any length in excess of that is fine. If English isn’t your first language, feel free to bring something in your mother tongue. Having it WELL memorized is important.
What to bring
You might wish to bring a reusable water bottle or travel coffee mug. Please bring clothes that are comfortable to move in. You might also wish to bring a notebook.
In your registration confirmation email you'll see an address you can use to contact the whole group. Communicating between sessions is so helpful to supporting each other’s learning and deepening the connection of the group. Please add the address to your address book to help ensure you don’t miss any messages!
Getting there is half the fun
We’ve created a shared document called "The Hero’s Journey" on Google Drive. The link to this document is in your registration confirmation email. Please fill in your arrival and contact details and whether you need or can offer a ride. A few people are coming from far away and would appreciate offers of help in this way. Please also indicate any dietary needs.
Transportation to the venue is not included. We are hoping to arrange a bus from Amsterdam Schiphol airport on Tuesday afternoon. Please indicate if you'd like to be on the bus with us!
TEPP Trainees' Workshop Discount Code
All TEPP trainees can take a weekend workshop during the year of training at a 50% discount. We will send you the code to use once you're enrolled in the facilitator training.
